He will be cut in the off season
Yeah he looked really bad. Have to draft 2 tackles this year because both Roos and Stewart have become old and ineffective.
Roos is fine - he isn't ineffective. A little long in the tooth? Probably but you could groom a tackle behind Roos if you resign him to a contract for a couple of years.
I was excited about the drafting of Shmankman. Couldn't understand why he didn't get to start over turner. Now that we see him play, how the hell could turner have bested him in practice enough to start over him? Shmankman didn't improve overnight.
injured during TC and Fing Turner got all the snaps
was never even a competiton really
Stewie was toast last year, this is not a surprise to me. Tackles for some reason, keep up their good reputation long after they start going downhill.. I guess it's because you don't instantly see how much they suck like RB, DB, QB, sometimes.
But Stewart definitely sucks. The days of a top-of-the-league Tackle tandem are long over. Roos is middle of the road, Stewie is roadkill.
Assuming the rest of the season plays out roughly as it has so far, it seems highly likely the Titans are spending an early draft pick on a tackle (and maybe two of them) in the 2014 draft. The era of Roos and Stewart is coming to an end.
Schwenke is better than turner. Good enough for me.
Aaaand he's the highest paid RT.
the pressure has generally came from the middle, not so much against SF, or the right (big country). I dont claim any sort of OT scouting ability but it seems Roos is doing fine. Could all be relative though with Ds taking the path of least resistance. I mean throw Turner into the QB or scamper around immobile Stewart are both easier than getting past Roos.
