So it seems like the Pac 10 just took over the top teams of the Big 12 or in all likelihood will. Add in the fact the Big 10 has pretty much gotten Nebraska and probably Missouri too, I think it's pretty much the end of the Big 12. This is crazy, it all happened so fast. I'm sure more things will happen between now and 2012 but this is pretty much the end of the Big 12 and the birth of the first two super conferences. I'm sure sooner or later the SEC will start absorbing ACC teams.

Have you heard any of the Florida and Bama fans? Why are they so upset about having to play Texas every year? You would think they'd be happy to stop playing teams like FIU and The Citadel and start playing big boy football.

Part of me wonders if the Pac 10 and Big 10 absorb the Big 12 and the SEC and Big 10 absorb the ACC and Big East, will we be left with 3 super conferences and a ton of mini conferences?

But in other news Colorado to the Pac 10 is official now.

Mack Brown would be exposed for what he truly is (a mediocre coach) if Texas went to the SEC.

Nah, I suspect Urban Meyer would quit his job again for 2 weeks... The two weeks before he plays the 2 former big 12 teams.

There would be 1 super conference, the SEC, regardless of whether they acquire others or not. Everyone else would be a mini conference, just like today.

Yeah, because the last time he played a Big 12 power it went so bad for Florida, oh wait, it didnt.

In all seriousness, I do think Texas and A&M would be better fits for the SEC than Pac 10, but it seems like the Pac 10 is going to land them.

What are you talking about? Most of the rumors have Texas going to the Pac 10, not the SEC, so I am not sure where you are getting that Florida and Alabama will have to play them every year. I hope they go to the SEC, but at this point it appears it will be the Pac 10.
