Ricky Rubio

he needs a jump shot

Says a Rondo fan that probably considers him top 5.

He does have a jump shot now and has had one for a couple years but never shoots the ball enough. He's one of the top defenders and passers at his position (if not the best), makes plays, and can carry a team.

Rondo: 15 PPG, 9.4 APG, 5.1 RPG. 52% shooter.

Rubio: 11 PPG, 8.3 APG, 4.6 RPG. 40% shooter.

Rubio on the Celtics and starting his numbers would match those at least though.

Rondo gets a lot of clearance in the lane to up his % with layups due to the 3 spreading the floor.

If you watch the C's it's not the big 3 anymore. KG is done and has played pretty bad so far this season, Pierce is just now starting to play well, and Allen is just a jump shooter. They're not all stars anymore it's Rondo carrying the team now.

Is "carrying" the right word for it? haha

Still, those guys spread the floor, even if they're not what they once were. Better than anything Minnesota has.

Give it time Deuce Wayne. See if he can make it through the season first.

Ricky Rubio has been playing in the Euroleague since 2006, so he has effectively been playing pro-ball for 5 years now. He's currently on a team stacked with talent (that does not tend to gel together for some reason), so getting assists isn't exactly difficult.

I really don't see Rubio getting that much better. He may bring his shooting percentage up a bit (to what? 23%?), but all in all he'll likely still be doing the same stuff 10 years from now.

Rajon Rondo sucks. Nuff said.

Euroleague is not NBA. As I said, he's played what, 20 NBA games.

They have a bunch of talent but no stability. I judge his court vision/IQ from seeing him play, not by the boxscore. How you come you don't see him getting better? He's their franchise PG, he's only going to get better with more playing time with his teammates. Chemistry.

They need to trade either Beasley or Derrick Williams.
