Yup. I agree that Greene ain't all that but he is better than the guys behind CJ we have now. If we have to overpay to get him though, pass.

If he's cheap OK. But either way as you guys said, I'd take a '4th-undrafted' over him. The amount of RBs to be had late in the draft is disgusting now.

On that "top 100 hot free agent list" i cant but notice DRC is top 5 and hes been quiet. Depending on Titans cap room situation which is still murky to us I wonder if they will pursue him? They made it known they want a G, Wr, Dt and backup RB but nada about Cb?

I've never been overly impressed with Greene. However, he'd certainly be an upgrade over our current backups.... and by quite a large margin. If the $$$ is right I'll take him.

I just looked over Greene's plays from week-1 thru week-8 and I'm impressed by what I see.

The guy ALWAYS gets yards, there's very very few runs where he gets stuffed or tackled in the backfield.

This is actually exactly what we're lacking, signing Greene would solidify our shaky offense.

CJ's best year (sans his 2009 season) was his rookie year when he split carries with LendWhale White. Greene would give us that same dynamic and can get us that 3 yards on a cloud of dirt the Johnson cannot.

Yeah. On paper at least, he seems to be a near perfect complement to CJ. He's not a "playmaker" that's going to break off a bunch of highlight-reel runs. But he will consistently get SOME yards. And that's something that this offense desperately needs.

I've had the misfortune of having Greene on a few fantasy teams over the years. And yes, he's extremely frustrating from a fantasy perspective. But that's just because he's not a homerun hitter and doesn't score a lot of TDs, which is what fantasy is all about. But that doesn't mean he's a horrible player IRL. We won't care too much about his fantasy numbers when he's knocking out 1st downs for us.
