no. Fisher and he hate each other.

their conflicts are allegedly the reason he was traded.

The conflict was in 2006, Billy had requested time to be away with the family in the offseason and it was fine. Family plans fell through and he stayed in Nashville, just didn't come in to some of the OTA's still. Fisher found out he was still in town, and got all pissed saying Billy lied to him.

That was all it took to get on Fishers bad side.

And then after the trade happened, Billy at the airport leaving for SD mentioned that Fisher favored certain players and no matter what they did, they would never get in trouble (Young, Pacman).

Fisher fired back in the media that he was a liar and through the team under the bus.

Been family friends with them since 2000. My wife worked with his mom.

That issue was the beginning of my questioning of Fisher's sanity.

Bring on the "it sucks" but Volek was a better QB than McNair... and proved that several times.

Fisher once again. A coach that can't dispose of his favoritism... killed us.

thats something whats his name would say...

that guy always hating on everything....

tried lookin for his name for a while, cant find it. he usually does disappear in the off season though...anyway back to your statement.

i actually really liked volek and was pissed when we essentially shipped him off and gave the reins to KFC. made absolutely no sense whatsoever - from any standpoint.

but honestly, i don't know if thats a fair statement. you know its easy to shine for a bit in this league. in fact, now, its also very rewarding - especially at QB.

had billy been doing those things (03/04) now, he'd woulda signed some mega million dollar deal with some team, and as most untested QBs, probably flop or fail to live up.

i mean c'mon he never played a full season even. McNair was a run first QB coming out of Alcorn St. and as defenses adapted, he continually did as well. Over his whole career, he continued to adapt.

A warrior, who his own style of play was definitely detrimental to longevity. but he gave it his all and forget stats, Air was a winner.
