I'm going to see it Friday. My question is: Do I watch Alien first or Prometheus? I have seen Alien before, but it has been years and I remember almost nothing from it.
Couldn't hurt. Hitting the bar and then going to see it at midnight tomorrow. Pretty excited. I'll let you know.
As far as the Alien connection to this movie goes, Prometheus apparently precedes it. I think you could do Prometheus first then watch Alien after..
Ridley Scott said Prometeus answers a question that was left unanswered in Alien. I think it'd be good to rewatch it.

Christ, if you had to have a Sci Fi connection - the initial Alien would certainly be the one. From what I have read it merely takes place in the same world as Alien..
no idea it was connected to alien, that helps alot. i want to see this movie, but i stayed away from most of the previews amd trailers to keep the suspense.
Here is your Prometheus/Alien connection.. And I have personally pondered the story of Space Jockey since seeing Alien the day it came out. I'm sure it was merely sidenote of HR Geiger's concept art at the time - with no answers ever intended. 30+ years later we get to find out..
