If Newton or Gabbert are on the board at 8 I think we will pull the trigger. If they are not I see us taking BPA and taking the best second tier guy available at 39. My choices of second tier qbs are as follows: Ponder, Locker, and then Kaepernick.

Dude needs to be grateful for his gift and not give the finger to Karma. I'd be more careful before she decides to strike, one career threatening injury and he will be absolutely nothing to those who worships him now.

Go ask Bobby Bowden how many players he put in the NFL. Christian Ponder is a safe pick in the 2nd round.

    For a football player.

If you're cheating on a drug test for employment, and doing drugs at all, is an entirely different scenario. I personally do not care if someone cheats at school. That is not against any law that will get you thrown in jail. It is not my job to judge college students on their studies, it is for drug testing.

You know that. And people I deal with on a daily basis are far from the people that are going to be the next Titans' QB. Would I care if a client of mine cheats? Surely. Do I care if a 19 year old in a different state cheats in an entirely different capacity??? Really don't care, and why should I?

If someone is cheating on their PhD then I may get a little involved emotionally, but this kid clearly never cared about academics, he was there to play football only, it does not shock/offend me when I hear that players like him are cheating in class. But it does surprise me that he is stupid enough to have been caught multiple times. That concerns me more as a football fan, not as a moral authority, which I am not.

It is my job to care when they are doing things for my company. For all I care, everyone else taking a drug test for every different company can be strapping urine to their leg in a condom. Not my business, no concern of mine. I'm not sure why you decided to make it personal.

Because I do drug testing for a living, I should become a moral judge for the entire human population, in every cheating scenario? I thought I just collected pee, filled out paperwork, and sent it to a lab. Didn't know such great power and responsibility was assigned to me. Even If I were a teacher, I wouldn't care if someone at a different school were cheating. Guess I'm just "ethically" not as good as I should be.

    {end rant}

Like I always say - If you're not cheating , you're not trying.

Cheating should be a last resort, and if you're down to your last resort, it's either cheat to win, or just lose. I hate losers.

Point made and understood. I don't believe there are shades of grey when it comes to a person's character. If Newton cheated and bent the rules to make his way to where he is at now, then I absolutely believe he will do it at the pro level and I don't want that in a Titans uniform.

And I should not have made my point personal...I would hope and assume your ethics are not at question here and apologize for suggesting otherwise. Mood got the best of me.

That definitely worked out crappy for Auburn. No, it didn't.

What a cheap terrible character attack article.

"Can't win a locker room" - I really question that he didn't have the locker room this last year at AU.

"Always knows where the camera's are" - What, really? C'mon.

    "Fake smile" - again, what?

How many of Bowden's Qbs had steller nfl careers? None. Danny Kanell was probably the best of the bunch and he was a decent backup.

    Chris Weinke
    Peter Tom Willis
    Charlie Ward(decent nba career)
    Casey Weldon
    Thad Busby

Good job of doing your homework on that one.
