You had said that Pitt wouldn't let him out of his contract, but then reports are they would. Is he basically turning down the opportunity to be a DC?

Now there's a 3-4 NT we could use behind Rice in this pic that goes by the name Grady Jackson.

The Steelers are allowing interviews, but allowing him to break out his contract is an entirely different story. He's the heir apparent to Dick LeBeau. But, how much longer are they going to force this guy to wait?

Jason La Confora tweeted earlier today that while the Steelers are allowing interviews, the Titans actually haven't requested to speak with him yet.

We've been through this already... You need to take into account the QBs Ray Orton has had on the other side of the ball... Kevin Kolb, John Skelton, Ryan Lindley, Brandon Weeden, Brian Hoyer, and Jason Campbell. That is a disgusting list of nobodies... Although I will say Hoyer looked pretty solid until he tore his ACL doing the dumbest QB slide I have ever seen.

I really cannot decide who I want.

I think I'd still like Butler if he's a possibility. He's the up and coming coach while Horton has established himself. The biggest downside to Horton is that he will likely be gone after one season to take a HC job while Butler would need a few seasons to establish himself as a DC.

Both worked under LeBeau for a decade. I don't think you could go wrong with either.

Given that Wiz is going to micromanage the offense he will have very little time to spend with defense. Therefore the DC needs to be strong enough to stand on their own. As such a prefer the more experienced Ray Horton to Keith Butler.
