1985 was the last year they made the postseason. They won the world series against St. Louis in what was called the I-70 showdown or show me series since both were from Missouri. That same year Pete Rose broke the all time hit record against pitcher Eric Show who would forever be known as the guy who threw the pitch that broke the all time hit record.Just read a story on him that was a good read...

I'm not sure that Jake Locker's performance will be the be all and end all of the Titans season. The new playbook is largely focused on the run game, we are going back to a ground and pound run game.
As far as Locker is concerned, there should be no question about the weapons he has at his disposal, and he definitely has the ability to take this team to the playoffs - much like many of the fans on here, if we don't take the wildcard spot at minimum, I will be very dissapointed.

However, in saying that - there is so much to be happy about this team moving forward for the next 5 years. If we don't make the playoffs I would never "jump ship".

We are a playoff team. For the past 3-4 seasons we have made so many excuses, and I for one will hold my hands up and say that I have been wearing rosy coloured glasses when it comes to our realistic prospects, but this season I can genuinely feel the tide turning for 2013!

    CJ 1,700 yds minimum.
