People are too busy calling DHB a bust to notice that he was a productive receiver last year and has improved greatly each season. I'd rather have Britt, but KB has 101 career catches and DHB has 99. DHB has a decent chance of being a very good receiver.
But how many games did DHB play in compared to Britt. Britt as been injured for about half of his career so far.
2006: VY realistically but I would've loved to see Reggie Bush slip to us. 2007: Dwayne Bowe but I was pretty happy with Griffin pick. 2008: Desean Jackson 2009: Rey Maualuga as he was drafted shortly after us. Clay Matthews, Percy Harvin, Michael Orr all went before us. 2010: ERIC BERRY!!!! Would've traded our whole draft Ditka style for him. Was real happy with the D.Morgan pick. I liked Maurkice Pouncey C that went after us. 2011: Nick Fairley D.Bowe and D.Jax would be a pretty real good combo. I'd actually like to see this team. VY-Bowe-Jax-Rey Maualuga-Derrick Morgan-Nick Fairley. Have to replace VY though.
You don't get bonus points or yards for having an impact player inactive due to injury. Britt's catches have been far more impactful than DHB's, but the guy had 64 catches for 975 yards as a 24 year old. I wouldn't call that a bust.
I felt the same about Berry. However, I knew that JPP would still be on the board until the Giants yanked him from us.
