Pick #155 of the 2017 NFL Draft: LB Jayon Brown, UCLA

Absolutely! I've been telling my friend for years that it's unreal what a competent GM can do. He's a Pats fan, so obviously he gets it. Even with Dodd and Johnson not producing, last year was a pretty good draft. This year is looking like it could be really good. Brown adds the speed element that the middle of this D really needed.

 

I love his speed and his burst, but he has shown a lot of problems taking on blocks at him. Until he stops getting knocked 3-5 yards of the ball in preseason games, it'll. E difficult to play him outside of passing situations. If he can develop that aspect of his game, he can compete for a starting spot.

Let's not get too ahead of ourselves. Hope springs eternal right now but let's see where everyone is after 3 seasons. Some guys have done really well in pre-season while others have done nothing. Only time and production will tell the tale.
