This beats the hell out of the annual "guess who's a free agent" threads. They usually consist of someone (or everyone) begging and pleading for a player like Tory Holt or another WR who isn't playing anymore.

I hope I didn't just give anyone any bright ideas...

I wouldn't be opposed to having Cam as our next QB, but certainly not at #8 and definitely not any higher.

If we don't take a QB in the 1st 2 rounds, I'd be okay if we picked him in the 3rd or 4th, assuming no better NFL ready QB wasn't still on the board.

Newton will go early. Some GM/scout will fall in love with his upside. It happens every year. He will be well off the board before the 2nd round is over, and I could actually see him going in the top 15 picks. That being said I do not want Cam Newton, even if he falls to round 2. We need a pocket passer that can read Ds and pick them apart.

Cam Newton is fine with me. I would like some of you experts to tell us why he can't be a great NFL QB.

The same experts that probably said that Josh Freeman would never make it in the NFL.

Seems to me that those type of QBs have done well for us.

Main issue of course is character and emotional maturity but he sure got the most out of his Auburn team.

Why because he drafted Tebow? Great pick by the way in case you have not noticed. Of course you never get it do you?

Like Ryan Leaf or Matt Lienart?

God forbid we would draft a young Steve Mcnair.
