SO you have Louisville and Uconn both as being better than UNC. UNC beat the hell out of Michigan state, and Michigan state basically beat the hell out of UConn and Louisville in their previous two games. Now, there was no question that Michigan state didnt play well last night, I grant you that. But regardless, UNC walked through this tournament. How you can possibly come to the conclusion that there were 4 teams better than them is beyond me. Not exactly sure what tournament you watched.

Plus, UNC played just as good of teams in the tournament as any of those teams you menioned.

Louisville beat- Morehad, Siena, and Arizona.
UConn beat- Chattanooga, TX A&M, Purdue, and Missouri.
    MEmphis beat- CS-Northridge and Maryland.
Pitt beat- ETSU, OK state, and Xavier
UNC beat- Radford, LSU, Gonzaga, Oklahoma, Villanova, and Michigan state.

Please dont tell me any of those other teams had a tougher tournament draw than UNC, because it simply isnt true. Plus, UNC didnt struggle with any of those teams, other than LSU to a degree. Pitt struggled every game they played. Louisville looked great against Arizona, but struggled with both Morehead and Sienna. Memphis struggled against CS-Northridge. UNC won every game by double digits.

See Gloat is just going to say MSU wasn't that good which is basically a cop out. Yea, MSU wasn't a pretty team to watch, they are very focused on defense and yea they lost to OSU by 12 in the conference tourny but they still made it to the end. What was UNC supposed to say "well we need to play UCONN and Lousiville instead because they shouldn't have lost to MSU and we need to show Gloat were not overrated."

Gloat's just a hater, lets leave it at that.

UNC would have beat any team in the nation last night.

Not a team that didn't throw the ball out of bounds or to an opposing player unforced over and over...

And here we go with the "well this team beat this team that beat that team, so..." logic that never works.

MSU was an overachiever that had no place being in the championship game. All UNC did was confirm that. Luck typically runs out eventually, and MSU's ran out 1 game too early.

You keep equating this to MSU. It was not UNCs fault that MSU was in the championship game against them. If you want to blame anyone for MSU being in the championship game blame Louisville or UConn, you know 2 of the teams you think are better than UNC. No offense, but you were obviously wrong with your prediction, which happens to everyone. That doesnt mean your basketball IQ has to lower when you are trying to spin your way out of it.

And secondly, it isnt all about UNC vs MSU. UNC walked through this tournament, and played just as many tough teams as anyone else. Yet, teams like Pitt, who struggled against every single tournament team they played, you somehow think is "possibly" better than UNC. Are you joking? Just wanting to play devil's advocate? No one without any type of extreme bias can come up with the conclusions you have.

Yea I agree, they really should have just had UCONN play UNC instead even though UCONN lost because MSU's win was overachieving.

Why can't they? Saying they played just as many teams and beat them easily while other teams struggled means absolutely nothing when they had a CAKE WALK of a region.

There's no doubt that they had the easiest trip to the championship than anyone else- BY FAR. Again- give anyone else that was a contender those match-ups and they would have won by double digits every game also.

This is like the Giants winning the Superbowl. Sure, they won. Kudos to them for doing it- but everyone knew they werent the best team. They just lucked out and were blessed with a chance to win. It happens.

UNC could have been the #1 seed in any region and they still would've won the championship.

    Why cant they what?

This isnt like the Giants winning the SB at all, since UNC would probably be more equated with the Pats in this instance and MSU more equated with the Giants. UNC was ranked #1 preseason and was right around the mark all year. You sure you thought that little analogy through?

And no, you are the only one that "knows" they arent the best team, but sense you are kind of hard to take seriously at this point, that doesnt really matter. Look, I am not saying they were head and shoulders above Louisville, or UConn, or whoever. But there is no way I can see how you watched that tournament and didnt think they were the best team in it. Again, your bias against UNC has been noted from other posts, and Im sure that is what is shaping your opinion. But your opinion isnt based in reality in the least. Im sure youll come up with another off the wall analogy of some sort that makes no sense, but dont ya think it is time to simply save face? Everybody is wrong with regards to sports at some point or another.

Maybe Louisville and UCONN were the overrated teams. You know, since they couldn't beat MSU who apparently sucks and didn't belong.
