Nations top team
I think he meant Hill as a back-up corner, while Smith plays the nickel. You do understand the concept that Fisher considers the nickelback basically a co-starter right?
Why is that relevant? :ha:
His post says nothing about starting. He is listing the positions, but 3rd cornerback is the same position as nickelback.
Actually Ryan Smith is kind of out of character to many of the rest of our picks. Here is a guy who doesn't have 4.35 speed and is small. Yet he has a tremendous feel for the game, great quickness and excellent ball skills. I like the pick. This guy produced at a high level against quality competition.
This guy might really surprise some fans.

I'm just speaking on how I saw it. I thought he meant #3 as in backs up the #1 and #2 outside corners. Why else would he list Nickleback as a different position? Maybe for the exact reason I said, which would make it relevant.
I really think this guy could be a steal. He seemed really ticked that he last this long and very eager to prove himself.
Not me and the rest of the Church of Latter day Smiths.
