Is it just me and the engineers down stairs that see a Lakers - Celtics Finals more enticing than a Suns - Magic series?

Maybe the reason people see it as more exciting is because they are the better 2 teams? Oh wait, could that be why they actually ended up playing? Nah, the best teams don't win in 7 games series. Every "true" fan knows that.

Yea make sure you put those quotation marks around "true". I've never suggested the best 2 teams don't end up in the Finals.

Eddy, you're seeing like an extremist. Again, by the refs having an agenda you seem to think they're going to block shots for teams they're trying to help.

It doesn't work that way. The teams still have to play. And we've seen Lebron get more favorable calls than anyone- but if the team doesn't score, they can't win even with the refs help.

Refs did all they could for the Cavs. The Cavs just didn't do their part. The refs can't DECIDE who wins. No one claims they can. They can influence the game- as most fans understand. Other than you, apparently.

So youtube evidence is better than actual statistics? What, does the NBA just randomly let a small market team sweep someone to throw us all off? What about all the phantom calls that go against larger market teams? How could this stay silent, a plot that would have to involve hundreds, perhaps thousands, of people over many years? Why does the face of the NBA (LeBron) not have a ring? Why did Kobe need Shaq and Pau to win one? Was the lure of the great LA media market and the league's biggest star not enough reason for Stern to allow him to win a championship? Oh yea, he would rather see the San Antonio Spurs winning rings. Why are you two not rich? Armed with your knowledge, you should be able to determine the outcome of games at a clip that would make you a millionaire in a mere season. 60% or so against the spread with a few hundred dollars of startup money would probably be enough.

There doesn't have to be some plot by the NBA for bad calls to happen. Hell, there doesn't even have to be a plot for refs to fix games. They could just be acting autonomously. Maybe they weren't even acting in concert. Perhaps it was only one ref every now and then? Any of these are possibilities. What you propose, is just lunacy.

    Youtube > stats guys. Truth.

Wait wait wait. Are you telling me that the big stars of the NBA get star calls?! WOW breaking news... stop the presses! Gloat, this is huge! How do more people not know this? My God, the refs favor the big name players? Unheard of. I've never seen this in the NBA or in ANY sport until you pointed it out. Thank you Gloat you've really enlightened me.

If star calls is your evidence that the NBA referees purposely fix games then why don't you say the same about the NFL or MLB? Besides, I've seen LeBron NOT get calls he's wanted in games before, hell we saw it in the Celtics series.

It's a shame that your youtube video didn't mention that the Magic had 9 more free throw attempts in that series than the Cavs, sounds to me like the series was called pretty evenly. Seems to me if the refs "did all they could" then the Cavs would have had 20 or so more free throw attempts than the Magic. It's a shame how a pesky thing like facts get in the way of your speculation that apparently most fans but me understand. But hey try again, this is fun.

    Apparently not. lol
