    He should have been suspended for that. Looks like it will be a good series. Losing Helm will be a bigger blow to the Red Wings than people realize. That dude is fast and can really change the tempo/momentum of a game.

    Also, I should probably admit that I am a lifelong Red Wings fan. And, as a Canadian, I probably like hockey more than a lot of you (not trying to brag, but telling it like it is). I still much prefer the NFL, but I like the NHL, too. It's cool to see a city like Nashville really embrace it.

    Edit: Wow, that really came across as bragging. I really didn't mean it that way. Just trying to justify why I can jump into this conversation and start talking like I know what's up.

    We play w more finesse now than when we earned that title....but the refs and NHL still have it out for us...hence we were penalized the most, but also led the league in penalties for....how often do you see that? It's BS...we were penalized all night in game one..and didn't get a pp until 9 minutes left in the game..NHL loves Crosby and the Penz...

    I am surprised at how embraced the Preds have been by Nashville and the surrounding areas. Surprisingly, hockey is fairly popular in Memphis as well, although with the Blues.

    Like someone said earlier.. after you attend a game (took a playoff one for me), you become a fan. The fans are awesome, the vibe is beastly and it is so much fun. I don't watch other teams playoff games, or reg season hockey.. but if the Preds are playing, im rooting. They are my second favorite sports team.
