In their final practice before scrimmaging against Atlanta on Monday, one thing the Titans will not be doing is watching any film of the Falcons.

Titans coach Mike Munchak said he’s more interested in seeing how his players react and adjust to what the Falcons do, as opposed to having preconceived ideas about what might be coming.

“That’s what I want to see in Atlanta, like all of a sudden you’re going against someone you don’t really know,” Munchak said. “We’re not going to watch film against them, so when you get out there, you have to apply your rules and technique to someone you haven’t studied.

“I think that adds another element to the whole, `Is the game too big for some guys?’… You just kind of watch your (groups) like the offensive line and how they’re communicating, and the secondary – what they’re seeing and how they’re adjusting to what they’re seeing.

“You’re hoping to see that kind of talk and that kind of camaraderie as they work their way through some of the adjustments they’ll have to make. You don’t get that to see that as much in practice as you would in a preseason game or going against someone else.”

Cornerback Tommie Campbell, the current favorite to claim the Titans’ third cornerback role, says seeing a new batch of receivers – and routes – will be a good challenge.

“We’ve been going against each other since OTAs and doing pretty much the same thing,” Campbell said. “We probably know what routes (the Titans receivers) run, so going in blind where you have to play everything honest, that’s when you get to see where you stand.”

Campbell and his secondary mates will have their hands full against quarterback Matt Ryan and a Falcons receiving corps that includes Roddy White (100 catches, 1,296 yards and 8 TDs in 2011), Julio Jones (54 catches, 959 yards and 8 TDs) and tight end Tony Gonzalez (80 catches, 875 yards and 7 TDs).

They absolutely destroyed us in every single way imaginable. Thankfully Locker made the game exciting at the end... Definitely made my drive to ATL worthwhile.

No you're not seeing a scrimmage online, preseason games I can help you with, but a simple practice no.
