I've heard really good things about that. I gotta be in the right mood for those kind of movies though lol.

The first 3 Spider Man's sucked balls compared to the Amazing Spider Man, and even it was meh. I watched The Wolverine the other night and I have to agree it was ok. The Silver Samurai is not a freaking machine with a sickly old dude in it lol. Oh and another flaw is the heated sword he used doesn't cut through adamantium....fail. Oh, but I did like how he did the thing with the bone claws, like after Magneto sucked the adamantium out of his body in the comics.

With the caveat that Raimi's SMIII was absolute dog squeeze, I'm gonna have to side with Maguire's Peter Parker over Garfield's. TM's was what I expected: a nerdy dork who gets abused a lot and has a snide sense of humor. Garfield's was just an a-hole. I couldn't sympathize with him the same way as with Maguire's. It seemed like a third or more of Garfield's film was left on the cutting room floor...lots of disjointed storytelling that made little sense...the teenager's very own Prometheus.

Raimi's version did a better job with comic relief..humor has been a steady and strong element of Marvel films. The reveal of Maguire's first costume is a classic scene.

    All 3 Spidermans were awful.

They made me hate and never expect anything good from comic hero movies.

Luckily other films have since righted the wrongs that were Spiderman.

Toby McGuire was enough reason alone to hate it.

The 2nd one wasn't AS bad, but still crap.

TASM is a bit better. At least they casted it decently. Much better than any of the others.

But Spiderman IS that snarky smart-ass....

McGuire was TOO dorky for it. He didn't get the attitude or personality of Spiderman. Nor the humor.

I actually feel exactly the opposite as far as the comic relief goes. Particularly the in-costume humor of Garfield's Spiderman felt much closer to the comic version than Tobey's did IMO.

That said, at the end of the day both films failed pretty hard at casting Peter Parker. The right guy for the role is somewhere in the middle of those two choices.

    I'm so happy.

Gareth Edwards' "Monsters" was really well done on a micro budget and was one of my favorite films a couple years back.

Now he has money and a star.

    Plus. Bryan Cranston

I don't know If I'd ever find myself really enjoying a Gojira movie.. but it has Bryan Cranston, so I will watch.

Very tired of remakes of remakes of remakes, though. Special effects are no longer special.

Cranston is the only reason I'll go to an early show and see it for 4 bucks.

Gareth Edwards will knock it out of the park. Excellent cast. His last movie was just so cool. This is like his second film I believe. Definitely his first big movie.

I recommend watching Monsters. It is weird and visually cool.
