Why trade up for a center or guard? Most centers and guards don't begin to come off the board til the 20th pick, we're in perfect position to sit back and wait for one.
I wish wish wish we could land Coples, he's really exactly what we need.

We'll either have to trade up 10 spots, or hope he get's a DUI for us to get him.

thats awful to wish upon someone lol but i woudlnt be mad if we traded up to get him if we had to...who knows with this draft so many teams ahead of us have needs that they could take and coples may drop or he could go top 10...we'll get a better look once free agency begins though...

I know that's bad, but how else can we land Coples without giving away picks?

Martin hasn't improved his draft stock that significantly. I see most people have him going 3rd or 4th even after a good showing at the senior bowl.

According to the sites I've read, the consensus seems to tell me that he has long arms. May be it's in relation to his size, but I have yet to see anyone say he has short arms.

He may be better suited to a 3-4 linebacker due to his athleticism. But he has the ability to play all 3, even at the next level. Kyle Williams is a great Tackle with a similar size to Ingram, even though he also plays in a 3-4 scheme.

The idea of trading up (and presumably giving up at least a 2nd round pick, if not another 1st) to select an interior offensive lineman is completely ridiculous.

When comparing his arm length to the average OTs in the game, he will be at a 3-5 inch difference. That's a pretty fair amount to be worried about.

Martin most certainly did raise his stock. I just read from one of the internet scouts via twitter that he didn't talk to a single scout or person that wasn't impressed with Martin at the senior bowl.

This is what we have to do, trade down. The spot we are at has no value picks unless a DeCastro or a Couples slips.

A trade down with the say the Rams could get us a high 2nd and 3rd round picks. Thats where the value is.
