8 games in the books, and here we are at 4-4. Jake Locker's injury may have cost us a game, but sitting at .500 midway thru the year the Titans control their own destiny. A lot of people are thinking playoffs, but unless we clean a few things up, the playoffs are the last thing we need to be discussing. So with that, I give you my mid-season report card for the Titans starters.

    OFFENSE
    Jake Locker B+
    Chris Johnson C+
    Colin Mooney C+
    Kendall Wright B+
    Nate Washington B
    Delanie Walker B+
    Michael Roos B
    Andy Levitre C+
    Brian Schwenke B
    Chance Warmack B-
    Dave Stewart C-

    DEFENSE
    Derrick Morgan B-
    Sammie Hill C-
    Jurrell Casey A
    Ropati Pitoitua B
    Zach Brown B-
    Colin McCarthy B-
    Akeem Ayers C-
    Alterraun Verner A-
    Jason McCourty B
    Michael Griffin B
    Bernard Pollard B+

    Rob Bironas C+
    Brett Kern A-

The good thing about this is there's no blaring weakness like in years past, so IDK about you guys but Im feeling good about our season.

Im interested in seeing other peoples grades, so please post your report card.

I'd probably bump Mooney up to a solid B. He's done well. I like seeing him as our Fb. Perfect fit.

I am going to grade it like this:

Offense = B for not causing many turnovers but not an A because we fail to score TD's in the red zone and dropped balls.

Defense = B+ I would love to say A but we had plenty of missed tackles last week to be a B defense. It was terrible to watch as it reminded me of last year. Definitely an improvement and hope Greg Williams can get them back on track

Special Teams = D so far because of Reynauds mistakes but we cut him and that is why I did not give them an F. Can't wait to see what Williams can bring to the return game.

I disagree with the A given to Jurrell Casey (B+ / for his inconsistency on run defense). Everything else is pretty spot on.

    Here's mine:

    OFFENSE
Jake Locker B+ | injuries held him back, but has shown progression
Chris Johnson C- | if it wasn't for STL gm, he'd be lower
Colin Mooney A | one of the best blocking FBs, according to PFF
Kendall Wright B+ | has shown ability to be a future star
Nate Washington B | reliable, as always
Justin Hunter A | has made plays on very limited snaps
Delanie Walker B+ | bumed by injuries, still makes plays, bad drops occassionally
Michael Roos B | has held his own in the pass game
    Andy Levitre C+ | for a $60mil OG, I expected more
Brian Schwenke B | He's been alright, as a 4th rounder playing Year 1, good job
Chance Warmack C | #10 pick in the draft and he's been dominated multiple games
Dave Stewart D | he's done, that simple

    DEFENSE
Derrick Morgan B- | great vs run, getting pressure - would like more snaps
Sammie Hill C+ | injured alot, haven't really seen enough
Jurrell Casey A | finally has taken that next step
    Ropati Pitoitua B+ | he's been great & on a great contract
Zach Brown B- | has missed some easy tackles
Colin McCarthy B- | see above
Akeem Ayers C- | where have you been?
Alterraun Verner A+ | see Casey
Jason McCourty B | McCourty has held his own, other than when Hopkins dominated him
Michael Griffin B | He's not Wiffin anymore!
Bernard Pollard B+ | his leadership has been great, too many flags tho

How does the offensive line get anything higher than a collective C? Roos would probably get a B. Everyone else gets a C- and below.

Well, I might give Warmack a C because he hasn't committed a penalty yet, but that's it.
