So, in hindsight, I was way off on this thread.

My bad Gloat. I think I just wanted to talk smack about Michigan but it was undeserved.

Utah needs to start scheduling slightly harder non-conference opponents so they can get enough recognition for BCS Championship consideration.

In the interest of fairness a "Tennessee Losses" thread should have also been created.

i think the sugar bowl is just a clear indication of what direction the alabama program is headed.

i wish they had beaten them by more so there was a better chance at a split title.

anything to make a playoff more likely.

Yeah, the thread was entertaining ;)

And I still think it's embarrassing for a program that once was one of the greatest in the nation to lose back to back home openers.

But considering this season's home opener loss was against the only undefeated team remaining in d1 college football, I'd say Michigan had a lot more embarrassing moments than that game.

I should also say the Pac10 impressed me in the postseason although they didn't face amazing competition.

Looks like the Pac10 & SEC are looking the toughest in post season play.

Big10 looks crappy. Texas Tech losing doesn't help the Big12 keep its reputation up either.

Bowl games arent much of a reflection of best conference. The Pac 10 was 5-0, but not the best conference this season. They were last year, and probably lost more bowl games.
The Big 12 was the best conference this season, and they're doing pretty bad in bowl games.
Bowl games are too fickle to get a decent read on. Best team loses often in them.
