I think he is good enough to start for the Titans.

Give him a healthy Britt, a good O-line and a RB that can actually, well, run...and his stats would have looked better. The guy came in here and performed splendidly with what he had at hand. He came to Tennessee with:

    A rookie head coach
    The lockout
    A new OC
A brand new playbook (in a short amount of time)
    A few no name WR's
    A questionable O-line
AND an overpaid bum RB who couldn't help carry the offense.

    ...and he still exceeded expectations.

I understand Munch said that the QB position is up for grabs between Hass and Locker, but if Locker wins it, it needs to be obvious that he won it. If it's a close competition between the two, I would start Hass over Locker just because of experience. I'm pulling for Locker to win it and take the reigns of this franchise.

Yep. Blatant PI on two accounts, and no call.

I realize it was a rookie mistake. But that was a huge play, in a huge game. I don't intend to hold it against him, because like you, I do believe he learned his lesson.

I think that (when healthy) he did a good enough job last year to make Locker have to earn the job during TC. That being said there was a small stretch where, due to his injury, he was dreadful but I blame that more on Munchek then Hasslebeck.

If I am being honest though I do hope that Locker beats out Matt Hasslebeck next season.

This is pretty much how I feel.

I also feel that the position is truly up for grabs. As opposed to years past, when we had a competition and it always went to the older guy regardless.

Devils advocate here: How much does having a scrambling QB like Locker open up the running game for us? And how much better would the o-line look?

I’m in favor of Hasselbeck starting this next year as well, but I can’t help but wonder if putting Jake back there with his speed and ability to scramble would help the running game.

    With Locker, we looked explosive...

With Hass, you didn't know which Hass would show up each week.

amazing how all of yall jumped on vince for having a bad record against "winning teams" yet when hasselblows goes 3-5 (a generous 3-5 considering it was against the broncos before tebow and against the texans when we played jake delhomme) yall praise him! Some fans on here are completely bias fans! Its really a joke!
