What's funny is- there are many UFC/MMA FANS discussing this very thing... honestly. So you trying to make a case otherwise is merely you trying to be argumentative in a subject you probably don't even follow. http://www.cameldog.net/empire-ufc-strikeforce/89480-how-save-ufc.html Visit some fight forums. Watch what actual fans are saying. They admit it's on the decline. Why can't you?
Because the facts show that the last UFC ppv was the third highest in history. Those pesky facts again.
Ok cool. So since the Pacquiao/Bradley fight got far more PPV buys than the single example you're trying to use... Boxing is alive, well, and in a much better state than UFC. Right?...
No boxing is dying its slow death. It's not like there are multiple major boxing events that draw large numbers. Only a few remain and the interest is certainly waning.
Osnap. The Ultimate Fighter has also had very good ratings for years. Didn't like uh.. Sylvester Stalone do a reality boxing show? How'd that work out?
and their purse is what? $800K? In Boxing sometimes $30+ mil goes to the LOSER...... Boxing > MMA strategically, financially, obviously.
It's obviously not more strategic. MMA includes boxing as well as other techniques; it is more strategic by default. There is more money in boxing currently. But it is dying. MMA is rising. I don't care what some affliction junkies say on a forum. Although I do think UFC has spread itself too thin.
http://www.mmamania.com/2011/11/9/2...s-georges-st-pierre-make-on-ufc-pay-per-views There is more money in boxing, but UFC fighters aren't hurting for it either. Even fighters who got cut by the UFC have said they pay well.
