    We all know Kentucky is the mecca for football fans....lol.

    When Bear Bryant was coaching at Kentucky (yes, it's true)...he said he attended the Sports Banquet at the end of the season. They gave Adolf Rupp a new Cadillac, and gave Bear a cigarette lighter...he said he knew right then what UK was all about, and promptly became Alabama's head coach.

    Bryant went from kentucky to texas a&m and then he heard mama calling and went back to bama.

    Only the bear could win a southeast conference title at kentucky and he was there for 8 seasons. In 1950 he won a sugar bowl game from the national champion oklahoma sooners. That was back when they moronically didn't include bowl games in the final polls.:rolleyes: Otherwise he may have won the national title there.

    How many people know that the bear almost coached at vandy?
