Give Locker another year. If he sucks, we'll be terrible again and we can tank for Johnny Football in 2014. Use this draft and free agency to build the defense and offensive line. Give Locker the tools and put it all on him. If he succeeds, awesome. Move ahead. If not, the new quarterback will have what he needs to thrive. But I think it would be a colossal mistake to use a first or second round pick on a QB this year, especially since there aren't any can't-miss franchise QBs in the class.

Incidentally, I think this class is loaded with great later round quarterbacks. I say use the Finny compensatory pick to bring one in, if nothing else to replace Rusty Smith.

With all of the problems on the defense I doubt the offense gets much attention in the offseason.. I firmly believe this.. sadly.

Get me a new HC/OC, some coaches that are competent enough to develop a QB. Locker will have what.. 11 starts under his belt after this season ends? That's less than the starting rookie QBs. He gets a year under his new coach, if he doesn't improve, then its time to move on. After 3 years, 2 of which being a starter, and still shows no promise - that's when it's time to change things up. He atleast had shown flashes of a playmaker in the past and you could look past the accuracy issues, but these last games have been brutal.

Britt can be a #1, if healthy. Kendall can be a #2. I'm not worried about targets.

OL, must be fixed. Our interior OL is trash.

Locker, you gotta show some progression, not regression. You're staring down targets, accuracy is terrible, afraid in the pocket, and hestitate throwin the ball. You've overthrown/underthrown almost every ball these last couple weeks. You had Thompson open for a 60+ yard TD, and somehow underthrew him... I thought you had a "cannon". You can't stare at your primary target and throw to him regardless of coverage. Read the defense, progress through your targets, find the open man - they teach you that in High School dude.

Best thing we could do in this draft is to trade back in the 1st and pick up 2014 draft picks. Then draft interior OL in the 1st.

Collecting extra picks in 2014 gives us ammo to move up and get a new QB if we need. Moving back alows us to draft an interior OL without taking him too early.

Locker's line has been trash, but what concerns me more is that when Locker has had time to find WRs he is just so inconsistent. He will make some great throws and then go into a stretch of throwing like a dog. You need consistency from your leader because if you don't then how can he demand it from the other offensive guys.

I hated the Locker pick. I really don't think he has progressed as much as he should in 6 years. Given that he has been making the same mistakes for 6 years, I don't think it is as simple as "get a good coaching staff".

With that said, the team needs to make the same improvements regardless of who is at quarterback and since we committed to taking him, we need to commit to playing him. We need to review things in a year.

I do like the idea of drafting a quarterback in the mid to late rounds. Becky can't play forever and Rusty has no future playing meaningful minutes for the Titans. Maybe take a Matt Scott from Arizona if you want someone to scramble, or maybe Sean Rennfree from Duke if you want a big drop back guy.

Get a coach to run zone read which Locker could likely be successful in.

It's coming up again soon. Should I start the thread? Maybe I should get really drunk while watching football and make the thread like I did last year? Nah, I'll be sober =) I accomplished one of my goals for 2012. Not be a raging alcoholic this past year. So far, so good. Drinking alcohol isn't cool.
