maybe we just didnt want him

Cant play DE. Played DT better. Injury history.

Just wasnt worth the money and we moved on.

r u kiddin, one year deal not worth it.

i can't believe we didn't retain this guy. we need help at d-line, and we were not able to sign anyone to help. so losing Jones on a 1-year deal hurts bad.

I should remind you that he was a beast in the middle when he played DT. Forget the 'size' movement Gray wants, this guy can play the middle much like Klug can; they got something better than size, talent!

Sure, neither Jones or especially Klug are your 'prototypical' sized DT, but playing alongside a bigger player, (in Jones' case, beside Tony) they are very effective.

As Casey comes to his own, it would have been really nice to have a Jones/Klug beside him as a stunt/change of play in the interior.

So he gets less tackles than a rookie this season. Has an injury history. And honestly is an average player yet he is a beast?

Hes a pass rushing DT. 5 sacks his rookie season, 4 his second (injured half the season), 3.5, then 3.0.

Sorry, that is not beast. And apparently the Titans dont think so either because they are hurting on the Dline and didnt want to resign him.

The "one year deal isnt worth it" argument isnt even what is important. Apparently the Titans didnt think he was worth signing him a one year deal either.

This isn't a huge loss. Best of luck to him.

Jones is soft and the only time he really impressed was playing alongside Fat Al. Enjoy Seattle.

Major statement seeing as how thin we are on the DLine and we didn't want this guy to stick around.

Seattle is a good fit. Very good defense in place there.

Not upset we didn't sign him. But I will be extremely upset if we don't sign Freeney as soon as he's released.

And dont forget, we dont know how much cap money we have to spend right now either.

If jones hesitated, and we signed Manning and they signed someone else, Jones could be out of work if no one picked him up.

Read some stats the other day about how terrible Freeny is on grass compared to turf. making me reconsider.

7 sacks the past 3 years while not on turf or something like that. Ill try to find it again.

There was absolutely no chance that Jason Jones wouldn't be able to find a job somewhere.

Just saying they may have made him an offer that was a pretty good one. Signing a one year deal when you are in demand doesnt happen very often.

Rams and Seattle right? Those are where he visited?
