New guy here. I've watched Mariota grow since he took his first snap against Gus Malzahn and Arkansas State back in 2012. Right away we all knew that Mariota was something we've never had before. I can say with a high degree of certainty that you folks are going to experience something very special with this QB. He has his faults though, he isn't perfect. He had trouble with ball handling but got a little better with that issue. Another issue I noticed is his deep ball accuracy. He has issues with long passes but that may have cleared up since last season. Overall, great QB and awesome person overall.

I'm definitely excited we ended up with Marcus as well. He has some learning to do at this level, but I love his attitude and leadership. I really hope that Titans fans finally have a solid QB to count on since Air McNair

Good thing you don't see any QB anywhere throwing with their Center on their shoulders.

He struggled any time they ran pro formations.

Yes. I saw him in college and liked him as a college player.

    COLLEGE.

An example might explain it for you better, because as a long time UO fan, I can recall very few "struggles" that didn't stem from injuries.
    But have at it.

Well, that's because if we're being honest- he wasn't facing many pro defenses.

When he did- they resulted to nonstop screens and QB run plays. From pro-sets against teams like FSU and MSU, he struggled.

Those are more like the D's he'll see in the pros. But opting out for a ton of screens won't work in the NFL.

You said he struggled from under center at Oregon. What the defense did/does had nothing to do with it.
That just isn't true. At all.

I guess "struggle" means different things to different people. Since he hasn't taken a meaningful snap in the NFL, maybe you think that means he's "struggling" now.
