He was going to be drafted the very next pick, so how was he not worth the 20th pick?
And it took Kenny Britt 8 games to get his first TD. Larry Fitzgerald got his in 5.
It's Week 4, and you're already saying he wasn't worth the pick. People these days.
If I had the time to make one about mccourty I would! Being that he is our second most over paid player!
and he wasn't worth the pick because we had MUCH bigger needs!
Drafting by needs is how you end up drafting high every year. Get the best players and adjust to them.
Well that's not always the case.. we NEED an Oline, if some amazing WR is available, I'd rather take a good lineman right now.
Wright is a playmaker with world class speed, good hands, and is developing chemistry with a good QB with a great deep ball.
Locker is in year 2, Wright is in year 1. If you are patient and don't be over reactive, let them develope this chemistry, and our front office actually KEEPS our talent when these 2 contracts are up in a couple years, then you could be looking at deadly combination developing that challenges records in 8 or 10 years.
Who cares if he doesn't have a 100 yard game over the first 3 weeks of his ROOKIE YEAR?!? Honestly, get real. You know what he is? He is consistent. He is consistently in the top of the rookie WRs every week. He is going to be deadly with a 100% Britt and Washington, not to mention Cook.
And as far as olinemen, they are good ones available every year. And they are the most sure-fire home run in the NFL. No position drafted in the 1st round is more likely to be a starter that season and the following season than a member of the oline. They are available in the free agency, they are available relatively cheap for trade.
You know what isn't cheap in a trade? You know who doesn't hit the free market (thank you, franchise tag)? You know what isn't available in every draft? A special WR (or any skills position player). You take those when they fall down to you.
and yet we have a bunch of scrubs.
