Idk he claims his 2011 rankings were; Cam, Mallett, Dalton, Kaep, Locker, Ponder, Gabbert, Enderle, Yates, McElroy, Stanzi

if he's being honest with me about his 2011 rankings, I might be inclined to listen to this guy more

Gotta have balls, and you can't win without hitting on 19 sometimes.

I have said it before, and I'll say it again, if he's there at #11 I want us to take him over any other player. I'm willing to put that on the record. However, I do not want us to trade up - for any player. I would rather trade back than up (if everyone we want is gone). No more reaching.

Maybe something will change during the combine and I will decide otherwise, but for now I would be thrilled if we took Manziel at #11.

If we drafted Manziel, it would destroy any good feeling about this franchise I have ever had.

    Seriously though?

He's a huge risk. No doubt about it. But with this new CBA teams can afford to take more risks. Worst thing that happens is he busts and we take another QB in a couple years.

You've gotta take QBs in the draft until you hit on one.

    Yea seriously though

Yea, he is a 'highlight reel', but you could write an essay over what is wrong with him. Both things he can't fix and what he could fix. If he had been a guy known for buckling down and being committed, then this post would be different. You just cannot justify someone with Manziel's hype getting kicked out of Manning's camp for being hungover. Its just flat out terrible.

This will be our third QB since McNair, we took the reach with Locker and it didn't pan out. Had the character concerns with Young. How about we start looking at guys with neither?

Like I said, this is hypothetical... He'll be gone by #11, and I've said all along Aaron Murray is the only other QB I'd be interested in - unless there's a different surprise slip to #11 like Bridgewater. There's still a good chance Murray will be there in the 4th. He'd be a steal there.

I'm just a firm believer in taking a risk on a guy if he falls your way. The potential is too good to pass on, and we need some hype.

I'll continue to evaluate him over the next couple months before I make an official Manziel endorsement. But chances are, if he impresses at the combine and team workouts he'll be long gone by #11.

Like I've been saying since November, if you're willing to bank on Manziel being the first to ever play the way he plays at his size and be successful, then by all means...
