That really wasn't my point. As I said earlier in the thread, I really don't keep a very close eye on college. TBH, the championship game was the first I'd watched of Notre Dame all season long (outside of highlights).

I just find it funny that everyone was salivating over the guy and then he has a bad game against the best team in the country and now most everyone's jumped ship. Maybe he'll be a great pro. Maybe he won't. I'll leave that up to our FO to decide. If there's one positive thing I can say about them, it's that they've done a pretty decent job of evaluating draft talent these past couple years.

I liked him before the game and still do. I'm actually somewhat happy he had that game, will make him slid some.

We all know that all this speculation is pointless right now because the combine hasn't even taken place...say Milliner runs a 4.5 40 and Banks runs a 4.3...all the sudden Milliner is out of the first round and Banks is in the top 10.

If Teo benches 225 30 times and runs a 4.5 40, NFL scouts will suddenly forget about how bad he was in the championship.

I didn't realize one bad game sums up an entire collegiate career. Was he extremely overhyped by espn? Yes but he's still a good MLB and a good choice if the staff doesn't have confidence in McCarthy.

Yea if he has a good combine he's right back where he was before that game. Coaches feel like they can correct anything.
    J Falk high fives this.

The reason the Alabama game matters so much is that that game is as close to an NFL game as Teo is going to see in his career and he failed miserably. He wasn't getting off blocks and was getting lit up by the Alabama o-line getting to the 2nd level. It totally changed my opinion of him and he's now out of my first round players I want the Titans to take.

Give me a stud DT early, that can keep the O-line from the second level and lighting up McCarthy and I think we'll be fine. That way we don't have to waste a 1st when we have a good MLB already.
Titan43 and Dirk Diggler high five this.

I'm down for a DT or SS before MLB if we're going defense first round
