This is why he should have had an open QB competition in the off season. Unless you have an elite, franchise level player at a position, you should never ever simply hand a position over just because he was on last years winning team. It was moronic to guarantee a QB who's been inconsistent his entire career a starting position after a single winning season with very mediocre stats.

This way, we'd already really know who can move the ball down the field better. Collins is still probably the better passer, but that doesn't necessarily mean he gives us the best chance to win. There's a reason VY was starting over him before he got hurt.

Same playbook but you can bet Dinger would use different plays which Young is more comfortable or is more successful.

How would Chris Johnson know? He's never played a snap with VY as far as I know (maybe in that first Jax game)

Maybe in practice, but we're talking about practice, not a game, not a game. We're talkin about practice.

I watch those videos and don't even bother clicking on Collins or Fishers videos anymore, its always the same thing with those two. I think for Kerry to be the best QB for us we need to have a back like Adrian Peterson who puts fear in the hearts of defenders. No one is scared of Chris. If you can contain him he's done.

I agree. For those who say we should fire Dinger, I'd like to point out how those three teams are doing who fired their OC's: Bucs, Bills and Chiefs. Combined 1-14 record.

It makes me think the team would, upon further review, do better if Fisher was fired this season and Heimerdinger were promoted to HC. Everyone knows 'Dinger is a hard @$$, much more so compared to Fisher. I'd love for Fisher to turn it around, but if I were to make a change in-season, that would be the one.

That and put Cecil back down to secondary coach where he thrived, and put McGinnis up to DC where he should have been, at least for this year.

The 1-14 is still a higher win percentage then we have. Also, didn't the Bucs AND the Bills change Coordinators during the preseason? Dinger is also really impatient, which is something I really don't want with an HC.

Anyone know Dinger's avg Yds/Points per game stats as an OC?

There's no reason to fire Fish mid-season. No reason to send him out like that.

And yes, what we need after this season of a Rookie DC that was promoted within the system, is another season of a Rookie DC that will be promoted within the system. No reason to think that won't work... Didn't Schwartz have the same problem when he was promoted?

I bet that playbook don't have too many routes where the QB is supposed to throw into triple or quad coverage, and I bet that playbook don't have many plays where the QB chucks the ball into the third row whenever a DE gets a shoulder under a Ts pads
