    Yeah, but we're apparently all idiots because we didn't have blind faith that Vince would lead us to a SuperBowl win while he was pulling that BS..

    Nah, just an idiot if you thought A) Chris Simms was a future NFL starter and/or B) Vince Young was ever as bad as Akili Smith.

    No, when I see green I call it green. Vince was in Akili territory at the time. At least Akili wanted to lead his team whereas Vince wanted to pout in the corner.
    I haven't said a single word about Simms as a starter, though I've never thought he was a realistic option for that position here.
    I am 100% behind Vince this season and want him to go new places, but anyone that claims they "knew" he would rise above his past is just a lucky guesser at best.
    And I do believe calling folks an idiot is against board rules.

    I guess for some reason this disagreement is never going to go away.

    So just let me state my position again... VY accomplished enough in his rookie year that he COULD NEVER be in Akili territory even if VY had never played another snap in the NFL.


    Well the board rules are ridiculous anyway. I can say "that post is idiotic" but its against the rules to say "you are an idiot". There really isn't any difference. And in my post, I never actually call anyone specifically an idiot...


    But feel free to report my post as I don't care either way.

    And this again... Myself, and possibly others thought Ramsey might move up the depth chart. Ramsey actually had a pretty good preseason here. I mean you can disregard the fact that Vince was number two on the depth chart if you want. You can disregard the fact that he was completely erratic in most games. In the end, the money won out. Not a surprise. I expected it. Everyone expected it, and it worked out for the best anyway. Nonetheless, if Rusty or Simms played as good as Ramsey did last preseason, how many threads would there be about Collins walking/retiring?
