I would say the SEC might be the best conference but it's really not by much. The Big 10 is just as deep and it showed this year, in fact, I believe the Big 10 will be better, yes better than the SEC next year. Florida beat a decent Cincinnati team which was a bad match up and everyone knew it and Alabama beat a Texas team without McCoy. Neither team proved anything in their bowl games as far as I'm concerned. Meanwhile OSU and Iowa won their bowl games, Penn State beats an SEC team and Wisconsin beats Miami who people said are "back" every chance they got this year. And hey even crappy Northwestern made their game interesting.

they didn't win that game, ECU handed it to them (or at least there kicker did) 3 missed FG's in a row was rough. it was embarrassing. (but i had a good view under the goalposts - blasted cold as hell shame of a bowl game)
Arkansas did nothing that actually earned them that win

Usually winds up that 6th in SEC faces 3rd or 4th in ACC or whatever conference. Just the way it is. If it went SEC1 vs Whatever team SEC would have and even more dominate Bowl record

Houston ( 10-4 ) will be in position next year.

We play three decent, but not great, BCS Teams:
UCLA (7-6) - Bowl team with no offense
Miss St. (5-7) - Ok team, but beatable
Texas Tech (9-4). - Should be in a down year slightly, but a solid bowl team

Houston should be ranked just outside the top 25 to start the season which is where you want to be. Maybe inside. If Keenum stays. There' a chance we run the table and dart into BCS range.

The rest of the schedule is light, except for a handful of light bowl teams like ECU, UCF, SMiss and SMU.

Our Defense is questionable, but they were all freshman last year. So we'll be one year deeper. It will likely all come down to our defense. We need a another solid tackler. I think we'll get some early buzz and the must avoid the upset.

    SEC: 6-0 BCS Championship Games

Keep on crying WAC and Big10 fans.

In reality, the SEC Championship should be considered the national championship game.
