I haven't heard Horton at all until this morning on the radio. I am sold on the guy. Didn't realize that he has been in 5 Super Bowls (as coach and player). He really sounded excited to be reunited with Whiz. Also sounded excited to be in Nashville...who wouldn't after a yr in Cleveland.

Said he has looked at all the film and really was impressed with how we tackled last yr. Says the cupboard is not bare at all. He sees the pieces to have a top defense. Talked about coming into Cleveland and immediately turning them into a top 10 defense.

I'm very excited to see what he can do with our guys. Seems like a DC that players would want to play for which might help in FA.

You should be excited about Horton here, dude has been there done that. He's actually way too good to be just a DC at this point, we're lucky to have him.

Here's Horton talking about being drafted as a player. I got a kick out of knowing his story.

He also had this all pro corner backing him up. We don't have that and are most likely going to lose our best corner.

Hopefully we can keep Verner, or atleast franchise tag him. He's been average for most of his career, then started out on fire last year but did cool off. Franchise him and lets see if he can repeat it next year, if so... sign him long term.

Hopefully we can also keep Pollard. I feel like Pollard is the type of guy who would love to work under Ray Horton.

Add in a couple draft picks, 1 or 2 free agents, plus last years defense, and a DC who knows what the heck he's doing = Top-10 defense.

    IDK, ask Horton about McCourty.

Said he was our best player.

He might really think that, but you can't say that about an impending free agent. Gives them more leverage.
