Good. Bout time someone put that douche back in his bag.
He sure retracted big time.
No...but if he is exposed as a sensationalist who is basically making things up or bending the truth to juice it up a bit, they may just pull him back a bit.
Last thing ESPN needs is a fat dent into their journalistic integrity...and Hoge is the bottom of the barrel in that regard.
Fisher called the limo thing a lie and of course he will never admit to saying he was dead set against drafting vince.
He did say he had "no problem with hoge up until this point".
The facts? It has been assumed by many that vince was not the top choice among the coaching staff or reese. Many think that chow and fisher wanted lienart first. It's not a huge stretch from there to assume he never wanted him.
I would like to know hoge's sources on the limo thing. Does he have decent sources who told him that or did he just make it up?
Jeff fisher aparently also said that a metro police officer, lt. swisher was a liar and idiot then. Jeff fisher called the information in a police report false!
This is the same jeff fisher who basically told vince he wasn't the starting QB any longer. Is fisher the new vince basher?
That's the problem with this whole situation. People managing information about this guy. Like when he took the wonderlic and the result never officially reported. It was reported on every other damn player. Then he took the test again and again no score just that he "did fine".
When Young first came here, he had a condo down on Church St. (or that area). I saw a little clip of it with Deion Sanders once. Since then, he's moved to a house much further out.
So it's possible that there was a limo which picked him up on game day some of his rookie season.
I don't really see why the limo thing matters at all. If Vince wants to ride a limo, who cares? If he lives 3 miles or 40 miles from the stadium, who cares? We're wasting our time trying to get to the bottom of that.
The stuff about Fisher pleading his case for not drafting Vince, Vince crying, the team not believing in Vince and Vince not being able to read coverages are the things that really matter.
I think Hoge is an a-hole, but I have to admit that I now think like he does with regards to Vince. I hope we cut Vince and move on. I don't believe he will ever develop into a competent starter and the Titans are too close to winning a Super Bowl to allow him to become a distraction. It sucks to say this stuff, but the good teams are the ones who are able to make the tough decisions.
According to jeff fisher almost everything that these police officers said was wrong. According to jeff fisher officer swisher, a Lieutenant in the metro nashville police force filed a false report! Who in the hell can believe what jeff fisher says especially when he has a reason to lie and they don't.
Then why does vince have to do anything to earn his job back when an injury is not supposed to cost a player his starting spot? Because vince went off and acted like a fool at baptist?
Note the number of people Lt. swisher quotes in that report.
Steve burke head of titans security. He is the one who said there was a player going off.
Stg wingus another nashville officer who said that vince had a gun.
Sheila peters team therapist who said she was worried about vince.
Jeff fisher himself who also said vince had a gun.
If this officer's report is wrong then that means she misquoted 4 different people including fisher himself.
It's fisher who is lying to protect the public image of his QB so what he says about hoge is hardly the gospel truth.
Whether anyone wants to admit it people can't wait for Hoge to open his mouth. How many tune in just to hear Hoge talk. He is doing what he is suppose to do. ESPN is the winner in this.
There is probably a whole lot more to all of this than any of us really know.
It isn't like Fisher speaks the truth either. How many times has it been said on here "Typical Fisher Talk"
Firstly, no one denied Vince had a gun.
And didn't they amend the report a few days later?
