Hmm... I don't doubt that HD is better than DVD quality, but his DVD looks more like VHS quality.

Yes, but considering how bad his DVD looks I'm wondering if there are other factors at work, it seems ridicolously bad.

DVD does not look that bad on my LCD.

I don't really care about the picture. I go to see the movies in the movie theater anyway so that's fine with me.
