the story is linear and basic, Halo 2 ending sucked (was it even an ending?), gameplay is just a generic FPS.

And Gunny, again, who needs a story when you've got the best muliplayer ever? That's as dumb as wanting a build-up story in any other hobby you're interested in.

I still wonder how you manage to cope with the demands of life when you, not only have to think for yourself, but also have to tell everyone what they actually meant because somehow you know better.

One aspect doesn't make a game great. Great games are a whole, not bits and pieces.

Halo 1 didn't have a pathetic ending and that set up Halo 2.

Same can be said for most sequels.

It was pathetic, it wasn't even an ending. So enjoy the greatness of an incomplete game.
