CornerbackNick Harper was a member of some excellent Indianapolis Colts teams -- the 2006 Super Bowl XLI champions, a 14-2 squad and two others that went 12-4 like the title team.

Of course he's going to pump up his current situation as a starter on the 7-0 Tennessee Titans, but you'd also think he wouldn't want to diminish the successful teams he was a part of in his past.

So how does he think these Titans rate against the best Colts teams he was on?

"This team is probably better," Harper said. "Up there we had a high-powered offense that put up points. Where here, our offense is putting up points but we're making a lot of plays on defense."

How good are the Titans chances at winning the AFC South considering they are 7-0 and everyone else is 3-4?

Well, I referred to this early Tuesday morning: According to the Elias Sports Bureau, no team has ever overcome a four-game deficit to finish first in its division. For the Colts, Jaguars or Texans to vault Tennessee would take an unprecedented turn of events.

Here's a bit more context on running away with a division early from Elias. Over the last 15 years, only two other teams led their division by four games before the end of October.

Last year's Patriots won their division by nine games, and suffered their lone loss in the Super Bowl. The 2002 Packers won the NFC North by six games, but lost their first playoff game to Atlanta.

Harper looks a lot better this year than last. I didn't like him at all last season, because he constantly gave up the big play and lost the ball when he could have picked it off. But this year he's making plays on the ball and deflecting with perfect timing. Hopefully he keeps this up for the 2nd half of the season.

Seems like he got comfortable in the system. He didn't play much man before, I'm sure that took getting used to.

It was a game against his former team, I think he took the game more personal, which only fueled his fire. What a good night for Harper.
