Griffin signs long-term

I'll steer clear of the Griffin criticism because, while I agree he is super soft at times, I don't hate him as much as many of you. I think he is the kind of player who can be great when he has an actual pass rush in front of him.

What I will say is this: this is probably good news in terms of the Titans and their future use of the franchise tag. Griffin got tagged and he decided not to hold out (like everyone does these days) but to instead show up for all offseason activities. He got the deal he wanted as a result of this. Hopefully we'll see the same thing from future tagged Titans. If you show up, the Titans will negotiate with you.

 

PFT says it's a 5-year deal. Hopefully it's not too expensive.
