I think it was Evan Silva who also said Whiz would love Hyde at 42
No doubt his hands are an issue. Although Williams is a bruising runner the one thing that makes him good is his short area quickness. He had one of the best 20 yd shuttle times for all the RBs at the combine at 4.06. This ability to stop and start is key to making people miss in the hole. He also has a tremendously explosive core with a vertical jump of 38in and a 10'9" broad jump which was tops out of all the RBs. In my mind his hands are the only question mark about this kid.
I totally agree. We have Dex-MC to catch balls out of the back field. Use your first 2 picks on difference makers then take Williams in the 4th and watch him do work.
His hands are not a question mark they are just bad. If he runs for 1500 yds and 10 tds I won't care but I just don't understand how a D1 RB can have hands that bad. 0 receptions? Seriously?
I don't think it was something that was asked of him in college. He'll never be Marshall Faulk out of the backfield but I'm sure he can be coached up to catch a screen or swing pass. BC just wanted to pound the rock behind their nasty O-line.
Any of the CJ "Haters" should be drooling over Hyde, dude runs with reckless abandonment, he will run his own mother over for a 1st down.
I pray we get a shot at him. Any other year this kid is a top 10 pick.
Top 10 is a stretch however I think he warrants a late first in a good year. Top 10 RBs are dead.
And I'm glad I was on this train from the beginning... Kids a beast.
Top 10 RB is dead, thats why he will slide. But he does have top ten talent
Yea I don't disagree. There's always ONE guy I always want in the draft every year.
Hyde has been mine since October.
Good, he has my stamp of approval. You did good my friend.
