That and no one likes Windows 8.

I've been holding off on a new laptop purchase until the new MacBook Pros come out because I HATE W8. I went to Best Buy a few weeks ago to mess around with the display models and I would have been all over a Surface Pro if it had more memory and a different OS. I refuse to use that OS for anything.

    Have a Surface RT.

Thing goes everywhere with me. Love it.

I haven't opened my laptop in months.

Word, PowerPoint & Excel make it. I can do all my work on it.

Ok so I picked up the Google Android tablet, and wow, what a piece of garbage.

I should have known better than to buy this thing, it was only $100 and runs off some crap called "jelly bean"

    returning it tomorrow

The kindle fire hd has an HDMI, and is a high quality tablet fir a low price.

The downside is you are locked in the Amazon ecosystem and a childish carousel launcher. But I doubt that will bother you. If ask you want is media consumption, you won't do better for less.
