Well that was a dumb comment. DUI is pretty serious and hopefully he learns a lesson from it.
I don't think he is saying that driving drunk isn't a big deal. He is saying that the whole process is a money grab where you pay one of the judge's buddies a few grand and then plea down to a reckless driving.
Hopefully we knew about this
Oh no, now we are going to be considered a bunch of thugs...
He's not condoning it. But what he said is the truth, unfortunately.
Athletes get DUIs every week and they never pay a steep enough price for it.
A DUI is serious, but the penalty isn't.
Not true, ask my brother about his. First time offense, lost his license for a year and $1500 fine + 3 days in jail and rightfully so. Of course, hes also not getting paid like these guys are.
I got charged with a DUI when I wasn't even driving. I was taking a piss at a stop sign, buddy was driving.
Had to plead it down to a reckless. IF YOU AREN'T A BLACK NFL SPORTS STAR YOU GET NO EQUALITY OR JUSTICE IN THIS COUNTRY
Been drinking and driving since 2004 and I have never been pulled over
Yea, your brother isn't an athlete/celebrity. That makes all the difference.
My friend got the same treatment as your brother.
But I've also had friends who got DUIs and got nothing for it since it was their first offense.
