I have sadly never played a MGS game before (was just never interested) and I am still blow away by this game.

Yes, there are a lot of cut scenes but it only adds to this experience. That is the best way to describe the game, an experience.

I can understand why some may be put off by the cut scenes, but they are so beautifully done and they blend in with the real time action seamlessly. The graphics are so out of this world good that you cannot tell the difference between the cut scenes and real time game play. Simply jaw dropping stuff.

I can't wait to spend some more time with it. But my wife and daughters have been in Wii World for days now and I can't seem to get the TV back. Cool, I guess?!?

I can't remember genuinely wishing a game not to end like this since probably GOW2. This is, IMO, the defining game of this generation, simply from a technical and presentation standpoint, let alone the amazingly dynamic gameplay mechanics.

Gamespot and IGN both gave the games perfect 10s BTW. I'm surprised at Gamespot as they're usually pretty tough on games, especially PS3 titles. But well deserved.

I still wonder if Kojima had this all planned or just made it up as he went. It's so damn elaborate.

Made up. He admitted that he never thought it would go past MGS2, and had to write things for the sequel.

Well, a game like this is the same as Halo. No matter how good or bad it is, it's going to get the best scores. Thanks to money ruling the world. I'm sure they were all paid handsomely for their reviews.

Once again, we're speaking about a case where it's been PROVEN that these places are paid off for their reviews.
I guess it's just too craaaazy to understand though.
