According to this we could be getting another 3rd rounder from the Rams this year. Check it out: http://www.musiccitymiracles.com/2017/1/7/14200366/chiefs-compensation-picks-2017-nfl-draft
Music City Miracles mis-interpreted the situation. In our trade with the Rams last yr we either got their regular 3rd rnd pick OR if they received a comp 3rd we would get it. So it actually sucks for the Titans that the Rams are projected to get a 3rd comp for the losing Jenkins because instead of the 5th pick in the 3rd rnd we will be getting the 35th pick. This is a long article about how the trade went down, but at the end of it Robinson conceding to take either a 3rd or 3rd comp is what helped get the deal done. http://mmqb.si.com/mmqb/2016/04/19/titans-rams-draft-trade-inside
And for those that don't want to read it, the Rams took a precaution if they sucked and had to give us their 3rd rnd pick (in case they didn't get the comp 3rd roundr). So IF we get the Rams 3rd round pick (not the comp), we also give back our 7th round pick. Not a big deal, but I would have demanded we get their 3rd round pick, not a comp pick even if I gave up our 7th to get it done!
Not at all concerned. Unless Goff becomes Tom Brady, Titans won that trade by a mile. There was no player in the draft that's showing they're worth that #1 pick at this point. Conklin is closer than Goff to that.
