Verner is co-leading the NFL in interceptions and leading all CB's in interceptions. I'm sure he wants to stay a Titan, but I'm also sure he is going to test the market to see what his value is. That way the Titans have to match.

Id like to see Verner stay, but if Im him I see what my options are. Hes hitting his prime, does he really want to waste his life playing for Mike Munchak?

Well then we should just trade away all of our good players so they don't have to waste their career playing for Munchak...

Chances are he'll go wherever gives him the biggest paycheck. That's all that matters to most of these dudes. The whole "the NFL is a business" line is bullsh*t. You should play for your favorite team if you can, or where you think you'll get the best opportunity. But instead they chase the big bucks above all else. Pathetic.

We should sign Verner ASAP, of course the "brain trust" will probably decide to give Michelle griffin another contract instead.

somehow I see this ending in a disaster for the titans where he goes to another team and we have to find another cb to replace him which will be difficult. I will be really pissed off if we do not resign this guy.

The cards are in Verner's hands now. I don't blame the FO for not resigning him earlier to be honest. It's not like he was really showing anything worthy of being extended up until this year.
