Ummmm.....think, We were still rarely in the playoffs with Washburn. Those 9 position edge guys got burned a lot.

I think his work with the late round guys and unknowns is where he really shined.

Babin and Vanden Bosch may have been early picks but they sucked hard core (more so Babin then Vanden Bosch) before signing with the Titans.

Washburn made them quasi linebackers in a 9. They didn't defend the run.

very true, but the fact is that they had great skills and great potential already, Washburn did a good job of refining that.

He did pretty well with Hall and Ford as well.
