I'm praying he's cut from Chicago so we can snatch him up.

Mariani is not a NFL WR, nice guy, solid return man, but nothing special. D-Rey is the same thing but a RB, he's a good returner, but offers nothing besides that, not that Devin Hester does either, but if you're going to carry a KR who's only job is to return kicks, why not add the best there is?

Yeah I would take him, but I wouldn't lose any sleep if we didn't get him.

Kickoff specialists are fading out these days now, due to the new kickoff rule. But, he still can be a major threat in the punt return game. We need some serious help there, so this would be a welcomed signing.

OR maybe because of that dumb rule the demand for top talent KR's will go up. Like you said, the rule has affected these specialist, thinned the talent out a bit, so if you can grab a difference maker, you should.

KR's are still going to get their returns in, it used to be the better guys got upwards of 60 balls, now it's still in that neighborhood, but between 50-60. There's still a need for these guys.

We used to let Bobby Wade handle returns, and we stumbled onto Reynaud, we should all just come to the realization that our team doesn't give a F about paying our return man big money.

Hester will want $1-2M and we did re-sign Reynaud for $700k

Nope. Never have really. We had Mel Gray for a couple years back when he was past his prime. That was it though.

I would take him in a heartbeat, sorry boutcha Mariani and/or Reynauld.

Problem is, many teams will be after him. He'll likely sign with a playoff relevant team.
