I'm not saying the talent is there next year. I am only saying that it isn't this year. I don't have a problem taking a QB later in the draft, but I don't see the point of taking one in the first just for the sake of taking one in the first. That's the kind of logic that will keep this franchise in the gutter for years to come.

    You drinkin again :p

Holding the franchise hostage is what :cj: did a few years back. Locker is just doing his job preparing for the season. If the franchise wants to replace him they can.

Indeed he is. He can't stay healthy, he's had his ups and downs on the field.

We don't know how good he really is, yet it's hard to just give up already and draft an QB in round 1 or 2. At the same time, he's piss poor play and injury prone body makes us want to draft an QB in the 1st round.

Therefore, he's holding this franchise up as to what we should do as for where we should draft an QB this year.

So yeah, I will say he's holding this franchise up.

Not for long my man....His days are numbered! Like I said, I want him to do well, but I just don't see him staying healthy and becoming more accurate.

Why say he wont be more accurate? Has he not gotten more accurate each year??

His completion percentages have improved each year.

I know, but lets be honest, do either of you put him in the top 20 of starting QB's with accuracy/touch? I don't...and that's a BIG problem when you aren't playing 16 games to make it consistent and worth through it/get in a rhythm. Both of you know I am a Jake fan, but i should feel comfortable with him in the pocket after 3 yrs going on 4, and I just don't for some reason. Maybe it's just me, and I hope that changes

No reason to take a QB in the 1st, imo. None of the QB's in this yr's class are really amazing prospects. Ironically, enough it reminds me a lot of the 2011 draft, in that I really don't see any can't miss prospects. All of the top QB's have various flaws and thus a top prospect really can't be agreed upon.

If we are hell bent on drafting a QB, I'd rather draft Carr, Mettenberger or Garoppolo in the 2nd round than draft any of the top 2-3 Qb's with the 11th pick.
