I made this same type of thread for Chris Palmer 2 weeks ago and it seems to have worked. So this time I'm calling out Jerry Gray.

Jerry WTF are you doing Monday-Friday? Are you even devising a game plan or do you just use the same tired worn out Chuck Cecil stuff from 2 years ago when we gave up 23 points a game? Cause right now your well on you're way to sucking twice as much as him.

I know I've heard you talk about matching a scheme that fits our players, but guess what, Michael Griffin is NOT Brian Dawkins or Troy Polamalu! Stop asking him to switch hit, he can't!!!! Yes I realize Jordan Babineaux isn't the same guy he was, but stop fiddling with this defense. And send some more blitzes please. These LB's are getting killed out in space and about to cost you your job. Enough of the zone defense, lets double teams best WR's and take them away, force other teams into doing things they don't like to do.

The only nice thing about this defense is the heart they showed vs Houston this past Sunday. Normally Foster and Tate run all over us but the players did a good job gang tackling and keeping those 2 from raping us. And that had little to do with you.

I know it never helps when your teams QB is handing the opponent 14+ points, but c'mon man! Put us in position to succeed. You're killing us!! Not just this past game, but all 4 so far.

Christian Ponder is about to make you look like a woman you know, just something to think about.

I think a sufficient body for your thread would have been:

    Kill yourself.

    the end.

I'm with you, I've been saying for a while now that the product on the field doesn't give a real reflection of this teams true talent level and I think that if the team is under performing then that falls directly on the coaching. I'm sick and tired of all this soft zone BS and soft defense in general, the Titans have always been know as a tough, physical, blue collar type of team and we just get manhandled on both sides of the ball now and it's tough to watch.

We need a real DC who can make a deference. Look how the Texans defense went from near the bottom of the charts to tops in the league the first season they brought over Wade and this year even without Mario they haven't missed a beat. Same personnel but different DC, I think we're under-performing our talent level and I bet you that if we had a Wade Phillips type of DC you'd see a whole different product on the field on Sundays.

I don't know how we ended up playing real good defense against the Lions and pull this against the Texans. Bump and run worked real nice against the Lions, we blitzed, and did just about everything we could have done.

Yesterday, we had our shortest corner going up against AJ, which is the dumbest thing I have ever seen. You pay McCourty, put him up against those big receivers, thats why we drafted him. Did not bump the receivers, and continued to just let them beat us through the air with no pass rush. Get your **** together, I am pretty sure a fan from the stands could call better plays right now.

And if we could get a dominate defense again we could be very dangerous because I think our offense has all the pieces to put up a lot of points, we just need to get the running game back on track of course which shouldn't be too difficult and we'll have a pretty explosive offense.

I couldn't agree with you more. I was at the game yesterday and I was sick, I just couldn't believe how soft we looked minus the the D-line play vs. the run. It was a solid dose of the usual zone defense all game long, with our corners playing 7-10 yards off the ball for the whole game. I only noticed a few blitz's for the whole game, which disgusted me... but what else is new?

The worst thing is I didn't see any attempt to create confusion with our defensive formations, not at all. Remember the Falcons/Broncos game a couple Monday's ago? Recall how the Falcons were faking blitzes then dropping out, or actually blitzing, and they were doing it from every angle possible. They would switch their front, with Abraham standing up, safeties, LB's every bit of confusion they could possibly muster, and it worked very well.

Gray does NONE of that, he just stays in a base look, no fake blitzes, no attempt to create any confusion at the LoS, nothing. I swear it looks like we're a Tampa 2 team now, I truly think that is his approach and it's clearly not working.

Oh, one last little tid-bit, not that it really matters but... I was right above the tunnel where the Titans came in and out of and guess who the first player or coach into the tunnel after the game... at a brisk jog nonetheless? Yup you're friend and mine Jerry Gray.

    Michael Griffin still sucks.

I thought Zac Diles filled in nicely yesterday however.

I caught him slipping a few times. I was wondering if he thought he was still a Texans player.

On a side note we gotta clap it up for Verner once again. That kid is playing his ass off. He's making my boy J-Mac look pretty average. Wont be long til teams stay away from him, might wanna think about moving our corners around some.
