First season of Carnivale is pure gold.. There's one 2part episode that is some of the freakiest stuff ever shown on TV..
2nd season is essential just to see where it all goes...

Carnivale is very heavily slept on. But Deadwood being canned might have been one of the worst moves by an entertainment companies, next to the cancellation of Arrested Development.

well, I finally brought myself to get into Carnivale
    watched all episodes
--- sadly, another promising show that HBO cancelled before it's time

It was a little tooooo slooooow for me at times, seems like what they did in 24 episodes could have been done in like 22 or even 20

I realy felt like the show had come full-circle in the final episode, until a 3rd person walked into the corn field .... hell that just made it need another season to explain, the development of the "Omega" was to take an entire season to reveal

the show was originally intended to be a 4 season run, HBO decided to cancel it due to dwindling viewership ... which I chalk up to poor marketing

it was a very good show once you take all of it's parts to make the whole, I could see where you might not come back if you'd happen into a single episode somewhere in the middle

I need to know what happens to Ben, Justin and Jonesy.
